01/20/2019 Rudder – Riveted Stiffeners on Left Skin (1 hour)

Nothing is easier than back riveting, right?

Well, just as I had finished all stiffeners and started to admired my work, I noticed the dent shown in the first photo below. Apparently I have struck this rivet at the edge of the back riveting plate. To fix it, I drilled out that rivet, used sand papers to smooth out the area as much as possible before putting in a new rivet. See second photo below after the repair work.
