07/03/2018 Horizontal Stabilizer – Prepared Right Stabilizer for Final Drilling (1 Hour)

Before drilling the skin onto the skeleton, because of the spar relief hole cracking service bulletin I need to remove the skin to trim off the flange of HS-702 front spar where it touches the flange of HS-00005 inboard rib. So I removed the skin, but only to find out I forgot to mark the location of the last hole on the flange. The plan specifically mentioned being careful about the trimmed area so that enough edge margin to the last rivet hole can be maintained. Not wanting to take my chance to guess the location, I put the skin back on so to mark the location. Then I trimmed off the area and put the skin back on again. Now it’s finally ready for match drilling.
