06/14/2018 Horizontal Stabilizer – Cleco Left Skin (1 Hour)

I clecod the skin onto left half of the horizontal stabilizer today. Initially when removing the protective plastic on the inside of the horizontal skin I was trying to remove only the plastic film along the rivet lines, but I quickly determined that it’s not worth the extra troubles since I’m going to prime the inside, so any scratch will be sanded out before priming anyway. The clecoing process is relatively easy once I get through the center front rib HS-707. The curvature of that rib makes it a little hard to wrap the flat skin around nicely. Once the skin is on, I inserted HS-00005 and HS-00006 to mark their proximate rivet locations(for fluting). Then I took a bunch of photos with my phone admiring the first air foil looking piece in my official build process 😀
