04/07/2018 Empennage Kit Has Arrived

I received my empennage kit today!

I thought it would take a week or two from emailing the order form to receiving the empennage kit. So that I could use the waiting time to finish the two practice kits that I purchased earlier, then jump right into the actual building process when the empennage arrives. I was wrong.

I emailed Van’s my order form almost mid-night Thursday night. On Friday I received an email response in the morning and a phone call at noon(to provide credit card number), and I was told that the kit will be shipped today and it should be delivered next week. Wow, that’s some pretty quick handling of my order. Even when ordering stuffs through Amazon Prime it usually takes more than 12 hours before Amazon ships my items. When I received the Fedex tracking number not long after the phone call, I was almost shocked to find out that the kit will be delivered the very next day.

So I stayed home on Saturday practicing on my toolbox practice kit while waiting for the delivery. The kit arrived at lunch time, which is only 24 hours after paying through credit card. Very cool to see two boxes of “HIGH DOLLAR AIRCRAFT PARTS” show up at my front door!
