02/03/2018 Workbench Completed

Completed the EAA work table today.

This workbench project took a lot more hours than expected because I actually cut all the plywood and wood studs by a handsaw. I normally listen to Audible books when working, but the cutting process was so long and painful that when cutting those long lines on the plywood I actually sat down and watched Youtube video at the same time.

Watching videos on iPhone when cutting plywoods

All the raw materials from the beginning. Well, actually I’ve already cut 4 studs(bottom left of the photo) before realizing I should take a photo of the raw materials.

Finishing cutting the studs that would become the frame for the top of the work table.

Assembling the frame for the top of the table. I assembled the frame in living room because it has a more level and even surface compared to the garage.

Completed top frame.

Added the 3/4 inch thick plywood to the frame. It’s starting to look like a table now.

Installing lower frame and legs in the garage. If I installed those legs inside the house I’ll have a hard time to move it to garage due to limited door width.

Two almost completed tables, minus adding the lower shelf plywood.

All finished. With quite some remaining plywood for future projects. I’m thinking about building some smaller tables for bigger equipment such as DRDT-2 Dimpler.
