01/13/2018 Fundamentals at Synergy Air
Spent a whole day at Synergy Air for a builder class.
It’s basically a lab session building Van’s training kit under the guidance of Synergy’s instructor. I got to use tools such as rivet guns for the first time. After reading books on dimpling, countersinking and riveting it is sure nice to grab the actual tools and do those things. It’s not crazy hard to build with the sheet metal, but I did learn that it’s very easy to make small mistakes when not careful. I’ve dimpled the incorrect hole more than once and I’ve also left more than one “smiling face” dents when I didn’t hold the rivet gun perpendicular to the surface.
